2015 is the 100th year of Birth of General Aung San. He was born on 13 Feb 1915, in Nat Mauk. As he is the national leader, many celebrations to mark this event are organized in Myanmar. Philatelists also celebrates his 100th birthday by making covers, even though there is no chance for Bo Gyoke Aung San stamps to be issued. Ko San Myint Win produced the cachet cover (top cover) with U Aung San portrait sitting on the chair as the chairperson of student union. The cover is cancelled at San Chaung PO on 13 Feb 2015. MPS also issued controversial cover (bottom cover) with embossed cachet, the portrait from 50 Kyats notes, cancelled with the self-made cancellation which is not an official postal cancellation. The cancellation is identical to the official logo of "Centenary of General Aung San".
