On 10th March 2014, Myanmar Post issued second set of census stamps. On 6th March, government media released press announcements.

Population and Housing Census Set I

In the year 2014, Myanmar Government take the nation wide Population and Housing Census. To commemorate this, MPT released two set of stamps on 24th February 2014. This post is featuring the first set containing five 200K stamps. Government paper announces the issuing news on 20th February 2014. The designs are not really nice, just simply texts and logo.

A Myanmar Theme: Aung San Suu Kyi

In response to an article by A2-K2 [“Myanmar themes 2: Aung San Suu Kyi on stamps”, The Burma Fantail, Vol 10, No 3, Whole Number 37, p 40], I made this survey to form the list of Aung San Suu Kyi on stamps. This study is done in June 2015. So, the stamps released later than this date will not be included. In this survey, I do not count in the customized stamps, proposed designs and art works on internet. An Aung San Suu Kyi stamp first appeared on 18 Oct 1995; the Gabonese Republic issued a sheet of nine stamps showing the Nobel Prize winners to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Nobel Prize Fund’s establishment. One stamp in this sheet featured Aung San Suu Kyi.
There is a total of 15 types of Aung San Suu Kyi stamps/sheets in the market to date. Kindly update, if any new Aung San Suu Kyi stamps are issued or found, the stamps missed in this list.
