Panbe (The art of blacksmith)

Myanmar Post issues new stamp series featuring ten arts of Myanmar.  Ten kind of Myanmar arts or crafts are recorded before in this blog, and are listed again below:

Pan in Burmese means flower.  Analogously the ten arts are also known as ten flowers of Myanmar.  As the first stamp of the series, the stamp of Panbe is on sale on 24 Jul 2020.

Panbe is the art of blacksmith making the products out of iron by forging the metal, using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. Products from Myanmar blacksmith includes ox cart axle, ox cart iron, tyre, scissors, hammer, adze, pickaxe, knife, hatchet, axe, digging hoe, mattock and etc.
