Panchi (The Art of Painting)

To release the whole set of Art stamps series completely within a year, Myanmar Post released final two stamps of the series on 18 Dec.  In considering the consistency of blog post format, I will write about each stamp in a post.

The art of Panchi means painting. The artists paint the figures of human beings, objects, scenery, jatakas, and many more on different mediums. Early paintings can be found as murals in Bagan. Bagan's mural paintings are mostly on jataka stories, scenes on life of Buddha, Hinduism, floral designs and are quite well known.
